Nekomata Sanatorium is a lifelong care and adoption shelter for handicapped cats. We focus on cats who are sick, injured, or disabled and often struggle to find homes. After rescuing nearly 60 cats from a major hoarding case—many missing ears, eyes, or living with incurable conditions—we saw the urgent need for long-term care. Many of these cats are difficult to place in foster homes. Working with BAKENEKO CAFÉ in Tokyo, we receive rescue requests every day. When adoption isn’t possible, Nekomata Sanatorium provides medical care and a safe environment where cats can live comfortably for life.
